Hi,

I just installed Plogger on my website, it all seems te be right. Hi, this is a great script by the way. Fairly easy to install and set up. Nicely done!

Now, I am wondering if it is possible to have two separate galleries on the same web site. Obviously, I could install plogger twice, in two different directories, and have each hook into a separate database, but how does the gallery.php work? How would if find the right gallery? Would I just change the name of the second gallery to gallery2.php? and also change the line on my web page? Would that just completely mess things up?

			I have set up PLogger on www.studentknights.co.uk/gallery/index.php

It is almost how I want it except for the following which I can't work out how to change:

a) I want to reduce the gap above the first line (border) to maybe one line (ie halved).

b) If you click on Official Pictures, then click on Week 16, you will notice the lines across the bottom of the page are set to 100% but everything else on the page is set to 775px. How do I change the bottom lines to 775px?

c) View As Slideshow is on two lines I would like this on one line.

d) I basically would like the whole page to be 775px wide and look neat.

e) How do I put the download as ZIP onto the page?

f) How can I make the preview image for each album alternate?

I would appreciate any feedback and help. Thank you in advance.

			Hey guys, in the admin you can select the width, but not the height, this makes life a lot easier for fitting plogger within my css site, but when there is a tall pic it screws it all up, has anyone come up with a way to set a height attribute as well as the width, so the larger thumbs are either x wide or if not y height limited? or is this going to be within the next release?

cheers

			Hi all,
I really like plogger, its is easy and good to implant it in your site,
i have used much systems before, and modified it, but i think this one, is still
the best... so i have a wishlist for the next version...

- more user logins, so more users can upload there photo's (not public, but for friends ect...)
- rate a photo, with stars... so guest and users can rate on a photo...
- previeuw next photo... when i browse a photo, see a thumbinal above the next link.
- private message, between members... really handy function, if you have multiple admins...
- a little messenger like, chat program... (not so importent, but its cool)

With these global functions, we can use plogger, as a portal system, so not only gallery, because you can implant a forum in plogger easy... so not implant plogger in YOUR page, but intergrate your site in plogger ....

i anyone has other ideas... please response.. so the next release is fully loaded with new functions :)

Greetings,
Sebastiaan

			I am trying to integrate the login systems of WordPress and Plogger such that whenever a user logs into WP, the plogger cookie is automatically hashed. I had already accomplished this, but at the moment am switching gear to use Plogger due to some extra personal required features for my project.

Anway, I wanted to know in which file does Plogger hash/store its cookie for user login? I poked around the admin files as well as some others to no avail.

Thanks,
Amory

			I installed Plogger last night, and intergrated it into my website (http://www.dallasfirstassembly.org/ploggerb2/). But when I tried to "upload" from the admin side, I get a "500 Server Error" (The web server encountered an error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request...). Also, I can view my collections and albums, but I can't view pictures in the album.

It seems to me that these problems are related. Do I need to change my permissions on my server?

			There seems to be some debate about what platforms Plogger should or shouldn't work on; I thought it might be a good idea to post your working server configuration for reference.

Windows 2000 Server
Apache for Windows 2.0.55
PHP 4.4.0
GD Bundled 2.0.28 [edit]
MySQL 4.1.14-nt

Nothing surprising there; just thought if many people used this thread it could become a reference.

It is NOT intended to become a debate about whether Linux/Mac/Windows or Apache/IIS/etc (for example) are better or worse. Many of us have used them all, and they are all solutions and have their suitability to particular needs and situations.

That said, I hope we can keep zealotry out of the thread.

Regards,
Derek

			I have set up Plogger and what an excellent photo gallery! The import function is just awesome. Moved over from Coppermine and it was a breeze.

Plogger is working fine on my internal network at home, but any external access to it appears to be partially broken. The fonts are all wrong, the collection links are all broken, etc. If I hover over one of the links, it has \web in it. "web" is in my internal DNS on my home network but not externally. How can I replace that with the IP of the server for now till I have a domain name for it? I didn't see anything in plog-config.php. I host a number of other sites on the same server and they are all accessible externally with no issues.

TIA,
ttyR2

			I would like to keep the viewer comments available, but remove the (# of comments) under the thumbnails. Is this doable?
Also, in place of (# of comments) I would like to put # of views and/or # of downloads. I suspect I would need another script to pull this off if it's even possible.

Anyone want to tackle this one? (It's Football Season),
T2

			Hello.

First of all, thank you for this great application: I have been hunting for something like this for a long time and could not find anything suitable until the Plogger. Great job!

Now, I have a slight problem with "Cruft-Free" URLs and Mod_rewrite while using Plogger installation for my gallery http://www.informity.com/gallery/. I checked the corresponding option in Plogger's "Option", and I can see .htaccess file being altered. I also made sure that Mod_rewrite is available. This "Cruft-Free URLs" mechanism seems to work fine on the first Collection but does not the second (click on "Graphics" Collections, you will get "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /gallery/graphics/ on this server." error message).

I am stuck at this point because I do not see how those Collections are different. Here are the things I have tried:

1. Using the following directives for /gallery in httpd.conf

<Directory /path/to/my/gallery>
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

and then, in .htaccess (I did not alter what Plogger has generated):

# BEGIN Plogger

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /gallery
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^.*$ - [S=2]
RewriteRule feed/$ plog-rss.php?path=%{REQUEST_URI} [L]
RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php?path=%{REQUEST_URI} [L]
</IfModule>
# END Plogger

2. Placing the whole rewrite rule set directly into httpd.conf as follows:

<Directory /http/www/i/informity.com/public_html/gallery>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /gallery
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^.*$ - [S=2]
RewriteRule feed/$ plog-rss.php?path=%{REQUEST_URI} [L]
RewriteRule ^.*$      index.php?path=%{REQUEST_URI} [L]
</Directory>

Please, let me know if I am doing something wrong or how else I can debug it. Your help will be greatly appreciated :)
