Good chat php scrip to embed in my site?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good chat script that's simple in feature and installation but fairly slick and robust? Something as easy to integrate as plogger? I need a chat script to embed in a site I'm building for a small town in Europe (a place to meet old friend and remanice). I wanted something that wouldn't cause me loads of work to install. MySQL and PHP prefered.

Gallery container seems to be bigger then i'd like

Hi all,

I've added plogger within my site. I made sure the table I put it in was slightly smaller then the space I wanted to fit the gallery. I also made sure the large thumbnails were sized small enough to fit in the space I have. Problem is the table/container where plogger resides is a hair larger then I'd like it to be. I made the large thumbnail smaller to see if it would make a difference but it doesn't. It seems as though it's the container puching out my pixels. Can this be changed? Here it is: http://www.lab11.evideohosting.ca/foto/index.php?level=picture&id=55 you'll notice the boat picture up above is cut in the middle... that's cause of the gallery... if you step back to the album it's fine.

Embedding plogger on my site

Hi, I've installed plogger on my site it it was simple enough... but I thought It would always reside on my site. It seems as though it displays the gallery on my site but it redirects people onto a _blank page as soon as someone clicks a collection. Is it possible to keep everything within my site? Page Not Found Errors when going to collection

Hi all,

I've just installed Plogger for the first time and was able to log into admin and
create some collections and albums. When I go to the main gallery page it
looks fine and creates some thumbnails from the images I gave it. However,
as soon as you click on any of the collections it tries to looks for folders that
don't exist.

Any ideas?

List of image thumbs randomly appears on full-image page

This started this morning - about 1 in 10-15 times when I visit a full-image page, I'll see a list of the thumbnails in that same album pop up at the top of the Plogger wrapper like this:

Hello. I would like to install Plogger on my WordPress site (www.jordanyaruss.com). My host gives me one MySQL database, which I am currently using for the blog. Can I use the same db for Plogger, or do I need to get a second one?

Plogger stopped working correctly :-(

I had plogger running for a while and everything worked fine. However, last night my host changed to PHP5 as the standard and now half my pictures won't show, and I cannot login to my admin section.

Whenever I fill in the username and pw, it keeps returning to the login page. As if nothing is processed??

The problem is, I am travelling, and don't have many possibilities to go online to fix this all. I want plogger to run, so the people at home can see my pictures.

Does anyone know what to do?

Albums are displaying in REVERSE alphabetical order - please help!

Albums are sorting by 'name' field (line 493 in my gallery.php file) but are showing up in reverse order. If I set them to sort by any other field, they also show up in reverse order here:

Delete The Submitted Date

CSS/HTML tables help please: titles spacing going wrong

Please could anyone help me out here? When displaying my thumbnails, the text for the titles of the collections and albums always seems to sit on the right of the thumbnails, rather than underneath. ( http://croila.net/plogger/index.php?level=collection&id=1 ) And it throws the spacing of the thumbnail pictures out.

Everyone else seems to have the title text underneath their thumbnails rather than to the side like I do, but I just can't figure out how to do it.

Can anyone help me out please? I've been trying to figure this out for ages and it's driving me demented!

Duplicate image on upload

I used phpMyadmin 2.64 to create db "plogger" before I ran the _install.php, and it does create plogger_albums and plogger_collections tables, but errors on the _config table.

So, I dropped the db, and started over. Created the database... blanked-out the plog-config.php... searched the forum, didn't find anything related... and changed line 162 in _install.php from this:
`compression` int(11) NOT NULL default '',
to this:
`compression` int(11) NOT NULL,

I really don't know what I'm doing with mysql, but figured I'd try. That did add _albums, _collections, _comments, _config, and _pictures tables.
I see it added "75" as the value for compression in _config table.
_install.php proceeded to admin login, then to plog-upload.php page. I clicked on "Manage", tried to add a collection and got another error:

Field 'thumbnail_id' doesn't have a default value
INSERT INTO plogger_collections (`name`,`description`,`id`,`path`) VALUES ('collection1', 'collection1 description', '', 'collection1')

I messed around a bit more, but couldn't get it to work. Problem seems db related. Could it be a compatibility issue with mysql 5? any ideas? Thanks!

No permission to access folders/ images

When i click the large thumb i get an error like this:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /foto/images/gamle_familie_billeder/bedste_oldefor__ldre/1799f066-b-rep.jpg on this server.

Why not ? Do i have to change the attributes on the folders ?

I've heard good things about Plogger... A question: can Plogger be configured so that one sees the selected photo large on the left side of a page and thumbnails to the other photos in the Album in a grid on the right side?

Something like this:

Help - I Think I Did Something Wrong

Well I got plogger almost looking the way I want on my site but that is when I noticed something odd. In all the other sites that I have looked at the thumbs on the main page of the gallery all line up horizontally but for some reason with mine they all line up vertically and I can't get it to stop. I am thinking it has to do with my site (they way I worked it up) but I can't seem to figure out how or why. I would really apprecaute any help.

Open up plog-functions.php and edit line 75. Change:

The server that my site is on uses MySQL 4.1.7 , PHP Version 4.4.0
with GD bundled (2.0.28 compatible).

Slideshow Hotlink Problem?

When navigating galleries (without cruft-free enabled), I can click on the large-link and see the actual image within the appropriate directory, ie. /mysite/plogger/images/collection_test/album_test/test.jpg.

However, when I turn on the slideshow, this.hotlink() (the Javascript equivalent to the large-link), links to "/mysite/plogger/collection_test/album_test/test.jpg", and gets a 404 because it's missing the "images" directory under the "plogger" directory in the path. Is this a reproducable problem, or unique to my install?

If you want to get rid of an element in Plogger (e.g. the meta-header in the galleries), but don't want to change the Plogger PHP (or want to leave the functions in, in case you ever need them again, but don't know how to find the line in PHP to comment out), you can always use "display:none;" to hide the element from CSS-compliant browsers.

There are pro's and con's to the approach (like the fact that the function is still there, just hidden), and I don't want to argue about it. But it's a tip for those afraid to delve too far into the PHP.

Hi,

great little program. I installed it for someone else on my website who is abroad for a year and everything is working smoothly. There's only one problem:

When someone posts a comment which contains a contracted form (like "I've" instead of "I have"), there's a backlask before the apostrophe like this "I've".

I'm brwosing the gallery with Firefox on a WinXP system.

Any idea what I need to do to fix this small problem?

The installation went smoothly but when i wanted to upload some pics,I found out that I couldnt and it gives me an error msg saying GD not supported.

Are there any ways to fix this? Besides asking my host to install the script.Can it support Image Magick or somethig?

403 Access Denied On Install

I hate to ask such a trivial question, especially when i am not new to the world of php/mysql, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to change the permission on the files to get everything working. When i run /plogger/_install.php i get a 403 access denied error (actually on trying to access any file within the plogger directory) . I changed the permissions on all files within the directory to 777, yet i still get the error. I've checked and double checked my config file variables to no avail. Could it be server related or am i just missing something trivial?

Removing RSS button and divider.

I want to say first off that this is a great piece of software. The integration into my already existing CSS design was incredibly painless. I am so glad I finally found Plogger. One question I had was how to remove the RSS button, and divider. I don't plan on having a RSS feed and would like the gallery to look as clean as possible. What do I need to modify to remove this? Thanks again!

Also, is there anyway to remove the date from the gallery?

Error on Install

I have uploaded all the files and can access the _install.php page. When I input all of my data (yes, I did manually create the database) and hit the install button nothing happens. All I see is a blank page. I am running this on Windows 2003 server; PHP 5 and MYSQL 5.0A Alpha. Any suggestions??
