Been using Plogger for many years and love it, but I am having an issue with one of my installed. It would appear that my plogger install of V1 RC1 has been hacked and the hacker was able to upload a rootkit to the plogger folder /gallery/thumbs/r0ck.Php

I started looking around and found several links to the following information:

http://www.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/securityfocus/bugtraq/2011-04/msg00108.html

But I'm not finding any solution and in all honesty I am just guessing that this is what happened. Has anyone else experienced this or at least know how I can go about plugging this issue? I'm not a coder so I wouldn't even be able to guess how to fix this sort of thing.

Thanks,
Dan

My question is that I use Dreamweaver CS5 and can we intregrate this program into it? I saw an old post that it worked, but they must of emailed the answer to each other as it only has him asking for it and then him replying thank you. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to try and install the program either this evening or first thing in the am. Thanks everyone!!

I have been able to install the Plogger Gallery script and populate it with over 90 ultraviolet wood fluorescence photos. To show you further what it looks like so far, you can view
the site at http://www.woodsoftheworld.org/uv_gallery/index.php?level=album&id=2
At first, it seemed that I would be able to add subtitles below each thumbnail ---> but now no such function is provided (not one that I can find anyway). The photos may look "nice" as they are but are of little use unless I can get the names of each species in as subtitles under each thumbnail. How can I do that now? Perhaps is there an SQL file I can
drop them right in the file? What table, what column name? ... or else how can I do this.

Also, I need to customize the appearance of the pages to fit in with a true wood theme as in the rest of the website (www.woodsoftheworld.org). I could not find a traditional layout of header and body. For the background I would consider placing a background colour of a dark violet or midnight blue (much like the deep purple of a uv lamp).
How can I at least do that much?

This is my first time on your forum ..... so I do not know if I will be notified of a posting by my email. Just in case any of you would care to help via regular email, my address is billmudry@rogers.com. If I can just get those titles added and a bit of customization on the appearance, I will have a whole new neat addition to this wood knowledge base :-).
I look forward to any assistance you can give.

Bill Mudry
MIssissauga, Ontario Canada

Followed the dead-simple integration instructions for embedding Plogger in WordPress and have everything working beautifully!

...except that the WordPress page that's got the Plogger bits in it is rendering much differently than the other WP pages. For the embedding I created a custom template in a theme I've written for WP that has the necessary Plogger inclusion calls -- nothing fancy, and it's working. The problem is that the Plogger inclusions are causing WordPress to freak out.

As mentioned, the templates for these pages are the same except for the one that includes a few lines for Plogger:

http://mynorthmedia.com/anderson/about/
http://mynorthmedia.com/anderson/gallery/

See how the latter isn't rendering the menu properly? Same templates, same code. The only difference is that the /gallery/ page includes Plogger and isn't quite right.

Any ideas on what might be going on? Hello! I thought it would be much better to start my own gallery for my photos, rather than a flickr photo stream...
Could I have been that misled?
The situation is:

1) I created a subdomain, using the OPS Subdomain Mapping tool, and creating a /gallery/ folder outside my main htdocs, which has its own /htdocs/ inside, thus making my root something like:
/htdocs/
/gallery/htdocs/
The subdomain worked fine, and the test index page I uploaded appeared every time someone visited the subdomain.

2) I uploaded the Plogger files into the /gallery/htdocs/ folder and run the Plogger installation. Which completed in success.

3) I log into Plogger.

4) I see the Plogger option tabs - BUT...

Whenever I try to click on any of these tabs to manage my galleries (...Manage/ etc) I get sent back to the login screen - where I am asked to log in again and so on and so on...
I am not using any .htaccess because I thought the easy way would work this time.
Do you think this could be messing up my Plogger funtionality?

			Hi All,

I've had a working install of plogger for some time now at www.goldendellanticacasa.com/galleries.

When I last tried to upload a photo it allows me to login into the admin console, and I can go through the process of uploading a photo, but once I click upload it kicks me back out to the login prompt.

Displaying all the galleries seems fine.

Any ideas what I need to be looking at?

Thanks

Paul

Plogger Beta 3 with anonymous upload capability and highslide JS integration

OK Anonymous user uploads now are available for version 3 and 2.1 whatever your favorite flavor. Everything should work fine with themes for now though the upload page is currently a whole seperate deal so no fancy site integration or theme stuff yet... i'm working on it...

In the admin section there is a new tab called "approve" which lists the files users have uploaded and allows you to approve/delete them. The person uploading can pick a picture, suggest a comment for the pic, and suggest where it should go. In the approve tab you have the option to modify the comment and collection/album settings or just outright delete the entry. The format of the page is mostly like the import page, check which ones you want to approve/deny change any settings if applicable then hit the appropriate button at the bottom of the page (approve or deny).

There is also an additional instruction file Plogger-Anonymous.txt that details the install/upgrade instructions READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING

WARNING: i made the changes to version 2.1 in roughly 15 hours of actual time over two days and version 3 in like 3 hours, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

With that said i find it works pretty well in both 2.1 and 3

Version 2.1 download:
i updated the _install.php for version 2.1 to add the plogger_uploads table so feel free to download it HERE
i no longer offer 2.1 test functionality, if you would like to test it out, install to a different database and directory on your site, or just upgrade to version 3

Version 3 download:
This download is a full set of all files needed for ploggerb3, just simply copy over your current directory (save your plog-config.php first) run the install then follow the extra instructions in the included text file mentioned below.
After installing beta 3 Anonymous you need to read ploggerb3-anonymous.txt it has the complete install instructions and changelog and to do list if you care... but it has install instructions which you will need to follow.
You can get it Here
You can also test drive this versions functionality by going to the Gallery and Gallery Admin
USERNAME: admin
PASSWORD: password

upload a photo through the upload link opposite the breadcrumbs (on the right side) first then it should show up in the admin under the approve tab but not under the import tab.

PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THIS or i will disable access to it. and please cleanup after yourself by removing any pictures you've uploaded. Thank You

HIGHSLIDE INTEGRATION:
also if you're in album view (which seemed most realistic) you will see the highslide JS integration when you click on a picture. You can also use highslide for regular html, iframes, flash, etc... pretty cool stuff.

I only tested on freebsd 5.x running apache 1.3.x and php4 and php5 with mysql support version 5.x (i put x cause i don't know the versions off the top of my head and i don't care to look them up right now).

Plogger Admin's if i posted this in the wrong section help me out here and put it where people can see it

			Hello

I found another important problem, google is spidering pages from my plogger site that i diddent even know existed, thats not good for rankings.

Here some pages which should be removed from site or blocked so it can not be spidered, but I would recomend that those other versions of some pages are removed.

ex. problem is everything after album
/category/album/sorted/caption/ASC/
/category/album/sorted/caption/desc/
/category/album/sorted/date/ASC/
/category/album/sorted/date/asc/
/category/album/sorted/date/desc/
/category/album/sorted/date_taken/ASC/
/category/album/sorted/date_taken/asc/
/category/album/sorted/date_taken/desc/
/category/album/sorted/filename/ASC/
/category/album/sorted/filename/desc/
/category/album/sorted/number_of_comments/ASC/
/category/album/sorted/number_of_comments/desc/

I think there is more duplicated versions of pages

How can I remove the function print
