Sort order problem.

When I look at the collections (inside the album) they are all in the opposite order (ie. Starting with pic 60 then descending to 1)

When I try to change the sort order in Options, it does absolutely nothing...is there a fix for this?

Edit: Restarting Browser doesn't help. Running version 1.0 RCL

Bug with admin mode and 'manage' section

Hi!

When I'm logged on as admin and press 'Manage', then I see my Collection (only one), with its dynamic content (Galleries). I press one (out of ~five) galleries. Fine. But when I press another page number (or next) I get 404, and URL in address bar is:

http://mywebsitedomain/plogger/a/plog-manage.phpplog-admin/plog-manage.php?level=pictures&id=5&plog_page=2

I.e. it seems to be missing a dash ('/') in between 'php' and 'plog-admin'. Weird. Is it 'user fault' or some bug?

Have the Plogger inter-graded into our website http://www.bassonline.com/albums/
For the life of us we can not figure out how to get images loaded on the right side of this page.
1) All of other pages and programs we install banners etc. on right side, each time we tried it on this template it throws the page out of wack?
Any code suggestions?
2) Could someone direct us to the page we can control the background image, as the home page has http://bassonline.com we would like one image to the left and a filled in background color. The code from the home does not seem to work.

Add extra function to "Upload" button without messing in original code

I'm working on integrating phpFlickr upload into my gallery and would like to know if it is possible to add an extra function to the upload button and an extra "Upload to Flickr" button to the "Edit image properties" page without having to mess with the original Plogger source code?

My goal is to change te return after uploading from:

"Your image IMAGE.JPG was uploaded successfully."

to

"Your image IMAGE.JPG was uploaded successfully, click here if you would like to upload it to your Flickr account as well."

and, in case a picture isn't yet uploaded to Flickr, add an extra "Upload to Flickr" button to the "Edit image properties" page.

This function will basically do the following:

? Authenticate @ my Flickr account
? Upload the photo to my Flickr account in a set with the same name as the Collection (unfortunatelly Flickr doesn't allow sets within sets)
? return the Flickr picture ID
? Add the Flickr picture ID to a Seperate Database table (so I don't have to mess with the plogger original tables) together with the corresponding plogger picture ID so I can Call the Flickr ID in my theme when the picture is displayed

Once I get this to work I would like to add a "Delete from Flickr" function as well, but let's start with trying to get uploading to work.

upload photo's tab thinks plogger is empty

Hi,

I have a plogger installation, i recently moved from another hoster. I copied over everything and moved the database. Now at the upload tab it says:

Before you can begin uploading photos to your gallery, you must create at least one collection AND one album within that collection. Move over to the "Manage" tab to begin creating your organizational structure.

While i do have a lot of collections and albums already. Under the manage tab i can see them, and the photo's within. However when i look at the albums it says 0 photo's. When i click on an album it does have photo's in it.

How can i solve this?

My plogger will be used as galleries for individual models where each model will have their own album.

I want to be able to add html links in each gallery. Basically I'm using facebook to create custom "like" buttons. I need a way to be able to add that code for each individual album.

Any ideas?

I am now getting a ton of spam on my comments by damn spambots. I tried going through the quasi tutorial found on the forum to get the captcha working, though am not able to for some reason. Is there a way to get captcha working, or is there an easy way to integrate "http://recaptcha.net" into this script? I have played around with it a bit, though had no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Plogger only showing 5 album in the front page

Hello guys,

I think you all are great with all the help that I have read earlier.
Anyway, I couldn't find any information related to the topic above.

Plogger seems not showing more than 5 albums on the front page even though I have many albums uploaded.

My website has a dark layout and I wanted to see if there were any dark templates for plogger out there? I just installed it so I am pretty new to this app.

Or is there a way to just change the colors within the code? I know HTML so if someone directs me to the right files I can probably figure things out.

Collections and Albums 20 or more not visible in ADMIN

Anyone else notice that once you hit 20 collection or albums in the plogger 3 admin they no longer show up??

Anyone have a fix for this. RIght now I am just dumping the ID's out so I can manually populate the address bar.

Hello :)

I have been having such a rough time trying to find a gallery system that would work for me and my group. I volunteer for a animal rescue organization and have been through 5 cms and 6 image gallery systems trying to figure out how best to set up our website. Now I have no knowledge of php, javascript, am learning html and css, but I have gotten pretty far in figuring it out on my own.

The plogger software seems like it would be a perfect fit, but I just don't understand how I am to get my gallery intergrated onto a page on my site. I am currently using Modx as our CMS, which is great, but just can't get a gallery going. It is afterall the most important part of our site.

I also, was wondering if there was a way to add fileds to the images. So we can categorize the dogs by age, gender, good with kids....

Any help would be VERY much appreciated. I think I might just cry soon!!!

I can't progress much further as there is no indication of server or permission errors etc, You could now search the plog site forum for issues related per the above - although in most cases it normally requires a later version software install/upgrade - but the plog forum may shed more light on your specific problem. Just some pointers, are you running a beta version, maybe not the latest known working release, and if you do upgrade or reinstall - will you need to drop your database, or does the plog install do that for you - an overwrite of an old databse would probably cause issues - all points you may wish to consider.

I have been using Plogger on webhost server since May2010. This probem occurred last week during an upload of new images session.
Can anyone advise me on solutions? I've put this on the Trac tickets but not sure how much or how often support is available (Ticket #263 refers)

I'd like to show the original bigger image of each gallery into an html page. At the moment Plogger show the original image only by a direct link. I'd like instead a page that contains the photo...such this:

ex:
/plogger/collection1/album1/photo1/big/

is it possibile?

I get this when i try to import 75 images to an album:

No photos/thumbnail images displayed after successful upload

Up until recently I was able to upload images (jpgs and gifs) by logging in using the web interface. Now when I try to upload images Plogger reports the upload has been successful, but the thumbnails and images are empty or there is a photo thumbnail but no image. Website also shows the same. However, there is a space for the images. I've tried uploading to FTP server and importing file but same issue. On only a few occassions the upload is really is successful. Any help appreciated!

Can't install on Windows

Have tried installing Plogger on Windows servers at two different web hosts. Both have PHP - and mySQL (on a separate server, like most hosts do). Keep getting:

The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.

Please try the following:

* Contact the Web site administrator if you believe that this request should be allowed.
* Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.

HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

plog_tr with intergration with wordpress

Ok, heres the deal.

I've successfully intergrated plogger into wordpress, not using Version 1.0 RC1 but the older version. The gallery works fine but the problem i've got is in the /admin area. In order to get the galler working I had to deleted the following part from plogger-globals.php

Otherwise the gallery would just bug out. With this deleted the /admin area returns Fatal error: Call to undefined function plog_tr() in ...... Thats pretty logic because ive deleted the function. So how do I solve this? One way would be to manually delete plog_tr from every file, but i've doubt that is the best soulotion. Any tips on how i can remove the plog_tr function so the admin area works?

Fixed dropped db table, now site won't load...

In attempting to remove a single photo from the database via phpMyAdmin, I accidentally dropped the whole plog_pictures table. I restored the database from a backup made the day before, but now when I try to load any link to the script (front or back end) I get:

"Please run _install.php to set up Plogger. If you are upgrading from a previous version, please run _upgrade.php."

I'm a little nervous about installing or upgrading from here because I think I've already got the most recent version of the script in there and I don't want to overwrite anything again. And before the database issue it was working fine.

Suggestions appreciated.

My theme is not displaying correctly

Hi all I have a problem and wondered if you could help.

I am currently using the lucid theme. If I have 3 or less albums in my collection then the album thumbnails display fine on the webpage. When I try to add one more the webpage doesn't display properly and the white background doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the page. Does anyone know why this is?

the fourth album wouldn't fit on the screen which is why it isn't in the image. With three albums or less the page looks fine.

Also, I have made a custom password script which can be seen in the image. This in written in php and is easily integratable into any plogger website. I can give details if anyone is interested.

5000 row limitation in mysql?

Who knew when I started this project that it would be so popular! 4700 pictures!!
Has anyone else encountered this problem? "plog-import" has been getting slower with each new batch of pictures, now has come to a complete halt. Talked to godaddy, they said mysql pukes at 5000 rows. The guy suggested adding another table, and calling it "pictures2". Easy enough... but how do I get plogger to look at it, and then split the data across multiple tables? I'm a designer, not a programmer, that's why I chose plogger, it was easy to setup and use.
Any help would be appreciated, I'm behind on my deadline to update the site with 600 photos from Halloween.
I'm using the 3.0 beta (but will probably upgrade today)

Ploggers Image Datastore

I have Plogger installed on a Debian Virtual Machine. On my network I have a Linux file server using Samba sharing my photos. I have mounted these files on my Plogger server to /mnt/photos. What I would like to do is import all those photos into Plogger without the photos being stored in a directory local to the Virtual Machine since it dose not have much hard drive space. Is there a way of doing this. I thought of just mounting mu samba share to /var/www/plogger-1.0RC1/plog-content/images/. Any input would be appreciated.

Where is the XML-Generator in V1.0 RC1

I just installed the Plogger Version 1.0 RC1 package, and it works very well on my shared host. But I have been looking for the XML-Generator which is listed under the "What's New in Version 1.0 Beta3?", saying "Plogger XML Service ? Each Plogger gallery now has a full XML generator built-in. Create your own widgets in any language you choose, whether it be a native desktop widget or a Javascript snippet."

But my question is where can I find this so called full XML generator. Because I am doing a flash gallery site, and I need a readable XML file as the source of my flash gallery other than a RSS Feed.

Do you guys know about it? I'll appreciate your kindly help! and Enjoy Plogger!

Weird loop problems -- previous, next BUG FIX READ

Since I can't figure out how to add to the TRAC, I'd like to share what modifications I've added to my plogger in order to fix a bug I've found and to help the user ability.

First, on many browsers, the rows seem flipped. For instance, if I have 6 photos in an album and I have 5 photos in a row, the 6th item by itself will actually be the first image for some reason. While wanting to fix this, I also wanted to add a NEXT button to the last image that would bring you back to the first image. Then I thought, well if I do this successfully and add a previous link to the first image that brought you to the last image, then not only would I accomplish what I wanted, but also I would squash the bug I have found.

What I did was add a couple functions.

I changed the last else clause from blank to that. Also, I realized that after doing this there is probably a more simpler way to do it, however the way I have it works flawlessly. Why fix what's not broken?

I hope this helps anyone out. This is a bug fix to me because this actually resolves the issue with the out-of-order / out-of-place image by creating a continuous loop of links so you never are technically at the first or the last.

This is also viewed as not a bug fix because it pretty much just masks the issue. If you do not want a continuous loop of links (ie no stop or end, prev and next links go on forever), then this bug will surely be eating you away.

FYI. This bug is actually not just on my plogger. It's on various 'sample ploggers' all over the place. It is not unique to mine, so do not attempt to think my modifications have caused this. This is an issue and should be looked into =D. Remember. It's not a browser version or compatibility. Some browsers just show it. For instance, even Firefox will.
