Hello all,

After log-in every thing works, still I have those lines appearing on upload tab and only bottom line (JPG Support...) on next tabs.

Anyone has an idea what should I do?

Temporary Zip Folders

Hi

I have been using plogger for a little while now and i am unable to delete the folders that are created when uploading a zip file.
The import of zip files works successfully.

I am uploading the zip files are created on a mac.
For some reason when i try to delete the folders i get errors like:

Server said: Could not delete ._.DS_Store: Permission denied

Why dosen't plogger delete these and how can i do it?

displaying album on separate pages using album loop?

Is there a way to use the album loop to display a certain album, if not all pictures in the gallery? I am trying to have the homepage display an album, or a 'view all' sort of speak.

Page links not not working

Under the manage tab the links to go to pages 1,2, and 3 are not working. I am trying to edit my photos and I am unable to get to my collection folder because I can not change pages. Can this be fixed?

It seems I have a problem changing the theme...

album loop problems

I am trying to do a somewhat of a wordpress nav loop approach, such as your loop functions show.

The code I came up with is below, and I can't seem to find why I am receiving a blank output. I am putting this album loop inside the picture page... so maybe this is why. I am trying to have a UL/LI list to the left of the single image displayed in picture.php. So what I have was derived from the album loop in the collection.php file. These files are being pulled from the default theme in plogger.

What would be the best way to display all images in entire gallery? Such as on the homepage I want all images on the front without having to goto the galleries.

Thumbs directory and GoDaddy.com

I wanted to alert the community that I received a violation notice from GoDaddy.com today stating that, because my thumbs directory contains more than 1024 files, my account was in violation of their policies. (The email has been provided below).

Of course my beef is with GoDaddy.com. I contest the 1024 files/directory limit is a new requirement. I've been running the site for over a year now and have never received such a violation notice before. Of course my complaints feel on deaf ears.

Regardless, I wanted the Plogger community to understand that other users may face the same problem when hosting a Plogger site at GoDaddy.

If anyone cares, details of the email are below. Perhaps a future release of Plogger could split the thumbs directory as it does Collections and Albums?

Each directory should have a total maximum of 1,024 files and folders. Any more than this can cause file system latency and slowness when accessing FTP and hosting from the Web.

Can't import from sub-directories

When plog-import.php loads, it deletes all directories without files, even if it has a sub-directory.

example:
I put pictures in "plog-content/uploads/dir1/dir2/"
go to import and "plog-content/uploads/dir1/" is erased because it has no files, even though it has a sub-directory, and that sub-directory has files.

I think this post may be related, but I'm not sure.

For a quick fix, I commented out lines 220 - 225 in "plog-admin/plog-import.php", which removes the cleanup completely.

I cannot find where the is.

This may sound dumb, but it's as if the plogger software creates it. It's nowhere in my template files...?!?! I've deleted them and it still shows up.

The individual pictures allow a block of large text, the description, to be displayed.

The album description is very small and 1 line textbox, and displays funny if large text is put in.

I use the description as 'body text' for the page, as I am making plogger be a webpage. Integrating won't help me out with what i need to do, as it needs to be simple for someone else to use.

So, how do i just make the descriptions for albums the same as photos?? Larger textarea, and display the same?????

No Collections

I have one gallery installed with 3 collections. Two of them no have neither album nor images. The third collection have one album whith seven images.

I know Plogger only shows albums or collections that have an image in them.

Why in my page (http://www.pcivil.gob.ve/pcgallery/index.php) show just the thumbnails and no the third collection?

Feed Display Problem

I have a slight problem with the feeds on the site I am working on. If you click the feeds button in gallery or collection views everything is fine. However, if you then click any of the pictures I get the following error message: 'The website declined to show this page. Most likely causes: This website requires you to log in'.
This looks really messy and nasty. The Demo gallery on the Plogger site does not do this, it opens a new window with the relevant Feeds information but no picture. This is what I would like my site to do. What do I do to make this happen or have I done something that makes this not happen if you know what I mean?

Trouble accessing admin page

I recently updated to the new version of Plogger and everything seemed to go well. Now when I access my admin page (after logging in) I get this error:

Table 'darwil165_photo.TABLE_PREFIXconfig' doesn't exist

SELECT * FROM `TABLE_PREFIXconfig`

Any ideas?

Slideshow trouble, may be too much images ?

Dear, I can view slideshow right with a few images but I can't view slideshows with over than 1000 images, is it possible ?, may be this gallery only can store less than a maximum number of images in order to view slideshows ?, the other options of gallery works right, only fail the slideshows option !!!

I'm new to Plogger and to PHP/CSS etc. but am finding my way round pretty well. Firstly, can I just say congrats on such a superb piece of software!! Plogger is fantastic.

Only problem is I can't get CAPTCHA to work. I'm using version RC1 and template Lucid, but where the CAPTCHA image should be displayed in the comments form it just displays the words "CAPTCHA image", and if I try to submit a dummy comment to text it says "Comment did not post due to the following errors: ? CAPTCHA check failed."

Sorry if I've missed out a simple step in setting it up but as I mentioned I'm new to all this coding ;0) Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated as this is the only part not working as I want now before unleashing my photos on the world! ;0)

1.0-RC1 affecting URL (possible rewrite issue?)

With an oodle of help, I was able to integrate Plogger into Textpattern as described here.

However, we had a recent server issue which has left the gallery a bit of a mess. I thought that I'd take the opportunity to upgrade to 1.0-RC1 as I couldn't figure out what had happened to break the existing installation, so I moved it across to a new environment and performed the upgrade. Sadly it's causing a problem that I'm struggling to understand.

I had to make a small addition to my .htaccess file, but the previous installation I used (revision 595) was giving me what I wanted from my URLs. However, post upgrade (and with no other changes at all), Plogger was presenting me with different URLs, which are causing a conflict with TextPattern.

.htaccess addition (full details in the guide linked above):
RewriteRule ^gallery/?$ /?s=gallery [QSA,L]

Revision 595 urls:
http://www.mysite.org/gallery?level=album&id=12

1.0-RC1 urls:
http://www.mysite.org/index.php?level=album&id=12

I'm struggling to understand why 1.0-RC1 is giving me the different URL, and without being able to understand it I'm struggling even more to try and resolve it. Any thoughts?

custom meta tags / title tags

I cannot figure out how to set custom TITLE tags for individual images and custom meta data (description, keywords, and custom meta tags such as robots, revisit, etc) to the individual image pages.

Basically, I need the caption, image description, to be separate from the TITLE tags and the DESCRIPTION / KEYWORD tags... ??

custom text for albums, collections

When I click on an individual picture, it shows the caption and description. My question is: in wordpress, you can create custom page templates. Can you create custom page templates for individual albums or pictures or both?

I'm turning the gallery into a webpage/gallery, where I can add custom tags and custom text. In this particular scenario, I am focusing just on the custom page itself (not header or footer, as those are in a separate post).

Does this make sense? For instance, clicking on an album brings you to a page with the pictures in the album. I'd like to add text where I want to, above or below, anywhere I decide in the actual albums.php coding.

CSS display problem

I am trying to figure out what is causing the image spacing on my website. It only happens on the plogger installed page.

Also it only seems to effect the table rows with php includes.

I looked through the forums and default gallery.css for possible reasons for this but am having trouble pin pointing it.

Installation Problem on upload to Server

Hi All
I have come unstuck at the final fence. I have uploaded a website that has a gallery using the lovely Plogger. Everything works fine on my machine using localhost. However, on upload to the server the 'gallery' page gives me a white page withe the following message: 'Please run _install.php to set up Plogger. If you are upgrading from a previous version, please run _upgrade.php.'
If I click the 'install.php' link I get the following message:
'Page Not Found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please try the following:
If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Click the Back button in your browser to try another link.
Use a search engine like Google to look for information on the Internet'

I am sure I am only a whisker away from getting this to work but I am now stuck.
Any help would be appreciated more than you could know!

Integrate picture with album (Edit: changed to different approach)

I'm working on integrating Plogger into my new site design and a personal theme with it.

I would like to integrate the "picture" part into the same page as the album thumbnails, here's an exemple:

Every page requires a login

I just installed the program.
I get to the admin screen and everything looks fine.
I click on upload, it takes me to the login screen
I enter login info, it takes me to the upload screen
I enter file name, make comments, etc
I click upload, it takes me to the login screen
I login, I'm back at the upload screen, fill in a pic, click upload, it takes me back to the login screen

Note: it did let me upload a picture one time, but it is back to making me login again

weird display problem

im trying to keep a basic html code set, not utilizing css simply because i only have 5 pages and do not plan on further enhancing the pages other than information, i know i could use header/footer includes with php but i really wanted to keep a basic html code (i know its inefficient)

Hello,
If anyone could help me put the album and image count on a different page than the main gallery page. In the footer of the main gallery page there is captions that state how many albums and images that are in the gallery. I would like to display those counts on a separate page. Like a home page, then you log into the gallery and it would then take you to the gallerys home page. I just need to know how to display these numbers on a separate page. Thank you to whom ever knows how to do this!!
