It seems nobody found a solution to generate rectangular thumbnail?
That would be a really nice improvement when we got more and more 16/9 pictures.
Nobody got a clue? Does anybody have an idea of the lines that must be modified so we can try to change the code?

it seems that things changed meanwhile. I can not find the setting mike suggested some years ago to NOT generate square images. Can somebody please help??
