    the translation file used in plogger is compiled using linux commands.

    windows users can download poedit : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/poedit/poedit-1.3.9-setup.exe

    download a .po file http://dev.plogger.org/browser/translations

    * install poedit

    * open the file example fr.po in poedit

    * in the file menu click on preferences ---> Editor

    * verify if the .mo files automatic compilation is already checked

    *now you can create your own translation project or compile a .po file when saving it

    * you will find the .mo file near the .po that you saved

    enjoy translating Plogger and make it universal :-)

    I have rewritten the translation guidelines for plogger so they are much easier to follow for someone who have not tried it before, the translation guidelines are located at http://dev.plogger.org/wiki/TranslatingPlogger.

    PS. For all coming translators and translations, please always put both the .po and .mo up for download, we can all convert a .po to a .mo - but we cant easily go the the other way.

    Only developers (registered users) on the Trac (Plogger Wiki) can create new tickets for now.

    Actually I find this forum much better for most error reporting, Trac is just too much overhead for everyday use. Maybe some of the big issues should go to Trac, but right now I'm really prioritizing everything I find in the forum based on the user response. When we get close to leaving beta-level, we will propably reopen Trac for more long-purpose usage.

    Which error do you want to report? If you're thinking about the page extensions I will be looking into this, if it's something else just create a new discussion.

    The fully translated french translation is now available from SVN.

    I would also like to inform all interested translators about the new translators mailing list which everyone is most welcome to join.

    The translation guidelines now include easy to follow guides for Steps to translate Plogger to your language, Steps to update an existing translation with new words and Steps to create a new regional version based on an existing translation.

    They are all very end user friendly, and it's easily done for a novice on either Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. A translation can be done in just 1 hour!

    How much is needed to submit a translation? I have translated 41% to norwegian, which is the most common strings.
