    Hello, how can I display rectangular thumbnails instead of square ones?? The thumbnails generated have a 'square' aspect rather than proportional to the actual image format.

    Instead of having for example a thumbnail of dimensions 100 x 100 px, I wish to have it 100 x 75 px for instance.

    Hello,

    It seems nobody found a solution to generate rectangular thumbnail?
    That would be a really nice improvement when we got more and more 16/9 pictures.
    Nobody got a clue? Does anybody have an idea of the lines that must be modified so we can try to change the code?

    Hey guys, this is really easy. Just uncheck 'use square thumbnails' in the options. They will generate at their normal aspect ratio.

    Hi,

    it seems that things changed meanwhile. I can not find the setting mike suggested some years ago to NOT generate square images. Can somebody please help??

    The setting is still there under -

    Small Thumbnails/Resize Small Thumbnail To:

    Select "longest side" from the drop down menu :-)
