Hello Mike, Ryan and Plogger Developers.

I see that Plogger is a real good gallery script. At the first look it caught all my attention.
No doubt that you guys are working hard for it.
Making it more search engine friendly would make a definite difference.
A few additions could push it towards the opposite direction of personal gallery script. But for a personal gallery or internal site gallery Plogger is amazing and has a 9/10 rating from me.

====== Here are few suggestions from me ========
    1. add Category description(may be a few lines) and display on the top of the category images(in the category page).
    2. add Category Keywords(this would be for internal gallery search engine).
    3. add Category page title ( < title > )
    4. Display no. of times the image is viewed. (image hits(not the unique hits))
    5. add Image download link (in the image display page below or above the image)
    6. giving options for admin to show download link in the image page and the download link in category page.
    7. add Image download count. (display in image details after image hits)
    8. add Description of image (alt=" ") for images in category pages.
    9. Move down display of image description to the image details location(to the top of Dimensions)
    10. By default display the details of the image.(no java script hiding)
    11. Giving options for admin for what to show and what not show in the image details region (select / un-select)
    12. Send this Image to a Friend (tell a friend script in both category page and image pages)(I have a good ready to use script)
    13. The site main page mata stuff: < title >, < description >, < keywords >, < generator >
(in the generator tag you can pass the plogger version)
    [Eg: < meta name="generator" content="Plogger b2" />]

My suggestions are based upon my thoughts of implementing Plogger for an image gallrey website(not a part of the website, a complete website powered by plogger and only plogger)
:) I will be using plogger for 3 (all 100% free to use) sites which are all completely different concepts and spread the word for plogger. And these features above added to the script, I dont think anyone will be looking at other gallery alternatives.

I hope these will help you guys to make plogger very special and the most Search Engine Optimized Gallry Script.

    How does that sound?

Mike, I need to talk to you a bit. can you please reply my e-mail which I sent to mike at plogger.org ?
    Will be waiting...

I am really feeling very very sleepy.
    Its 3:40 AM (:|

    One more feature suggestion/request:

Really good suggestions and things to consider, however take a look threw http://dev.plogger.org./report/1 since some of those suggestions already look like tickets already posted, certainly you can probably add some more :)

Any status on the search engine friendly feature requests? I'd love to see that. It could be as simple as just auto-inserting the album title into the page titles, to start off. That alone would help with engines like Google.

you are right skeeboo, may be we can also do it but these should be with the core program which everyone can use. ultimately one day, plogger will standout.

We've already got dynamic page titles in our development version. This should boost searchability by quite a bit.

As far as the other requests, I have this thread bookmarked so we will definitely look at them.

mike, implement description and keyword metatags along with dynamic titles. i believe you are working on tags something like flickr has. you can use the same tags for the meta tag < keywords= "" and display them dynamically.
