Suggestion for an extra field for a small title that can be used beneath the thumbnails.

The filenames look really ugly beneath the thumbs, even when cut off. I copied the code for the caption and put that beneath the thumbs. This works ok, but when the caption is a bit too long the thumbs don't align vertical, so that's ugly too. A small extra field would be nice, just for one or two words. "Annie Hall" looks better than "ann_hall12.jpg" :)

    very nice suggestion indeed.
And the name "short title" sounds good to me. may be limit the field length to certain characters so that it dosent effect the alignment.

Perhaps this could also be made into an option:
Text beneath thumbnail? 1. filename 2. short title 3. nothing

Good point. I hope that can be implemented on the next version.

Good point ;) , but perhaps not needed. I posted a ticket on the tracpages:

As you can see there are already caption" and descriptions. I'm not sure about them descriptions (I think they will be in beta 3), but the captions then can be used as short titles. The only problem with the current markup is that with thumbnails 120px wide the title can't be longer than 20 characters at 11px or so. But that shouldn't be a problem I think.
