Hi. I'm definitely a newbie at this, so bear with me please.

I tried to load Plogger today into a GoDaddy hosting account, which is supposed to support MYSQL as well as PHP. I'm getting nowhere. I downloaded Plogger, unzipped it into a folder, and moved the folder up to the hosting account. I can get to the install page just fine, but after I enter the host name and user credentials and click install, I get the following errors:

    * The path (./images) is not readable.
    * The path (./thumbs) is not readable.
    * The path (./uploads) is not readable.
    * The path is not writable by the Web server.
    * The path is not writable by the Web server.
    * The path is not writable by the Web server.

Is it because I've loaded it into a folder rather than root? Or, is it something else? Any ideas?

    Thanks

You will have to make sure those directories exist and are writable (755). Search the forums for chmod for additional instructions.

    Hope that helps,
    Derek

So, I contacted GoDaddy support. Here's what they said:

Our shared Windows hosting currently supports PHP v.4.3.10. In this environment PHP runs in safe mode and many functions are disabled.

    So, am I SOL?

I use Godaddy myself and have had no problems with the install...

Did you go into your Hosting Manager control panel (through Godaddy) and actually set up a MySQL database?
