Just a quick query.. (love Plogger by the way!). My 5M pixel camera produces images that are around 2-3MB. This is great, but uploading to my host to use them with plogger is so time-consuming and uses up so much disk space.

So, to get around this, I use an image editor to resize the images and make their physical disk size much smaller prior to uploading them. However, this causes the camera details for each picture to be lost, and clicking "Show Details" on a picture shows nothing.

Anyone any tips on how to re-size without losing the camera details?

    Thanks.

Use an image editor like IrfanView which keeps EXIF on resize to batch process them; that should ensure the camera data is kept.

    Cheers,
    Derek

XnView is pretty nice also: http://www.xnview.com/

It will keep all metadata on resize but it also has an option to remove all metadata from an image when you want to reduce it's size for web page placement.
